Postema Tree Farm
Branding Design
Postema Tree Farm, a family owned Christmas Tree farm located near Grand Rapids, supports holiday traditions all across West Michigan. They offer a wide variety of fresh-cut and cut your own Christmas trees, as well as handmade wreaths, and a unique ornament every year. They pride themselves on supporting the West Michigan community of Caledonia, and other Michigan businesses by sourcing our trees from Ludington and the UP.
As Postema Tree Farm grew and was looking for a digital, online presence, they sought to establish consistent and professional branding. Grace was hired to create a logo for use on apparel, social media, website, and signage.
Options Presented

After speaking with the son of the Postema family, the goal was to choose a more modern logo option than the styles used by other local competitors. Ten design options were presented to gauge interest and direction.
Top 3 Designs
It became clear that the Postema family liked the look of a circular logo, similar to a stamp. From these selected three, color variations were presented to incorporate the use of red.
The Final Selection.
The Postema Family selected option three from the above options, but Grace incorporated a second thinner line to incorporate red as a supporting secondary color, rather than a primary color in the logo. The family was thrilled and had the logo printed on apparel for use on the farm.
